I've been using my Pogo plug for about a year now, and love it.  Problem is with a new

dual-core netbook - when I used PC Mover to transfer my files and settings from an old Windows 7 Ultimate netbook to my new Windows 7 Home Premium, (both 32-bit), the app no longer connects to the Pogo drive.

ALL other internet and lan actions are good; I've turned off the firewall, checked that Pogo is allowed to pass thru firewalls, etc.

I've deleted the pogo app that was transferred from the old netbook to my new netbook, rebooted, and done a fresh install of the app, but that has not fixed anything.

Any ideas?

Yes, I can access the pogo drive via the web interface, and I can access the pogo drive via the app on my other Win 7 PCs.

Help!  Thanks!

Hello,

There have been reports of the DriveApp not installing/working properly on Netbooks. What kind of error message do you see?

SOLVED! The little Asus Netbook came with an Asus cloud storage feature - something like a pretty decent 500gb (or was it 750gb?) cloud storage as part of the purchase deal that came with the netbook.. Guessing that maybe the Asus cloud app might be conflicting with the Pogo drive app, I deleted the Asus cloud app and drivers et al.

Now my Pogoplug drive P: is back, all is fine in Pogoland. So it had to be a conflict between Asus' cloud app and Pogo's. Too bad, as it would be nice to also still have the Asus cloud storage, but since I'm forced to choose one or the other, my Pogo drive wins.

Thanks to any who were thinking of possible fixes on this!

Hello,

This is very good to know! The engineers will be informed about this.

Thanks,

I had a great experience with the app and after trying lots of different tricks to use it on my new core duo laptop I gave up. Thanks for informing me that the app does not support the new laptops as I used to think that there is a fault in my laptops which is why the app is not functioning.

"the app does not support the new laptops"

This is incorrect.

bkthedj clearly pointed out that "Asus cloud storage" and PogoplugApp did not work well together. Removing the Asus Cloud Storage restored proper functionality to the PogoplugApp.
