Trying to sync my photos (iMac -> iPhoto Library) through PogoPlug to a 2TB USB drive. Under Active Copy, the my Pictures status shows "Copy in progress" and gets to 2% or 3% (after hours) and then restarts at 0% complete. My computer does not sleep or shut down and I see constant external drive activity. When looking at the mounted volume in Finder, and when viewing the drive via my.pogoplug.com, all my photos seem to be present. So why does Active Copy keep running and starting over???

Hmm, I'm not sure I can explain this one. As a simple test, have you tried running Active Copy on other directories and files, just to make sure that it might work elsewhere?

Another thought is that the iPhoto Library file can get super-huge if you have lots of photos. The Pogoplug should copy it fine, but it would take awhile depending on the size of your library.

Otherwise, I'd contact Pogoplug official support on this one.

Thanks for the responser Peter. I have enabled the Active Copy for myMusic and myMovies, both of which seem to have completed fine (showing "Copy up-to-date"). Still, the myPictures Active Copy gets to 2, sometimes 3 or 4 percent complete (I've never seen it go beyond 4%) and then it starts over at 0% complete. The PogoPlug HD continues to blink with I/O. Again, all my pictures seem to be there, even new ones I've just captured and synced with iPhoto. It's true that my iPhoto library is quite large (almost 130GB).

Thanks again for sharing your insights.
