One big difference between the Dockstar and Pogoplug is the Dockstar has built-in Samba support - by going to the WFS section of the web setting page you can turn on Samba and map your drives without having to use the Pogoplug app.

I have a few of these dockstar units(one setup already) and I am trying to understasnd the differences or benefits to getting the standard pogoplug (pogoplug pro) Cant seem to find a comparison. Seems like they do about the exact same thing.

The Pogoplugs do not have the WFS option on the settings page and you cannot get it at this time without having to install the third-party apps. I would expect the my.pogoplug.com and dockstar.pogoplug.com to be essentially the same.Tom said: One big difference between the Dockstar and Pogoplug is the Dockstar has built-in Samba support - by going to the WFS section of the web setting page you can turn on Samba and map your drives without having to use the Pogoplug app.I just looked and the WSF page is the same on my.pogoplug.com and dockstar.pogoplug.com (both are UI version 2.5.6 and Service Version 2.5.6.1).
