I have a regular pink pogoplug that works quite well, I can copy and download files via the Windows drive and the Android app but the web interface does not seem to work.

I can see everything but I cannot download anything via the web interface, I have tried different browsers (IE, FF, Chrome), computers ...

I have added pogoplug.com to the exception list for popups, nothing works

It would not really bother me since the Windows drive works and I'm only using it for my personal use, not sharing with anyone but I can't use that drive program at work, I'm in IT but not the network department and they only allow http connections.

The firmware of my pogoplug is 2.5.6

I activated full security and ssh perhaps I should try removing that but then what's the point of all that security if I can't use it...

I hope someone can enlighten me.

The website version is:
UI Version: 2.5.6
Service Version: 2.5.6.1

I figured it out, the downloads are done from a secure site on port 80, my network buddies do not allow that.
I have tried removing the SSL checkmark but that resulted in a completely inaccessible site, the login page kept reloading I think because it also goes to a https site on a non standard port.
It is probably also why the Pogoplug drive does not work.

Can there be a solution?

I have the same issue here ... can see and even open documents on myPogoplug.com, but when I click the "download" arrow, nothing happens. Port 80 is not blocked ... How do we determine if the problem is on Pogoplug end or our server end?

Problem solved for me! All I did was download the Pogoplug software to my laptop and can now see and download from my home-based NAS via Pogoplug with COPY/PASTE or even Drag-n-Drop. Hope this works for you as well.
