Still no help? Well after a few days of fiddling I think I've finally got things working.
My first problem was with my Xbox not actually connecting with "n" so I was getting alot of loading.
I eventually found out the Xbox needs special encryption to use "n". Once that was fixed my next problem was that the pogoplug wants to show all my videos as one big list to my Xbox. I fixed this by sharing every folder I want to show up on my Xbox (mine are set up as genres) individually with myself (you click the green icon next to each folder and add your own email to share it ). Now when I go to my Xbox video library I choose the pogoplug then shared with me instead of local and it will be separated as folders. My next problem was that I couldn't see my music on the Xbox. I got that to work by actually disabling media sharing to the Xbox from every hard drive except the one that had my music on it. I thought this would stop my videos from working but they still showed up under shared with me . I'm not sure why this worked but it could be that the Xbox was only seeing the first hard drive(I have four) and my music was on the last one. I hope this may help someone else that had the same problems as me. I'm still trying to find out how to enable my embedded video thumbnails on the Xbox . Maybe it'll take a firmware upgrade?? I'm also using the iPhone app which works great so far except for the statusbar always being there during video playback. If anybody could help me with that it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Ive searched these forums but can't seem to find the answers so I figured I'd just ask. I have embedded cover art on all my wmv-hd files. When streaming using my computer I can see all the cover art but when I stream using the pogoplug to the xbox I dont see any cover art. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.
On you media center machine, with the pogoplug drive app, turn off multiple drive mode. Using this, the pogoplug drives will all show up as "P:" in My Computer, with each drive then showing up as a folder. This will give it a set drive letter. This should allow easy access through media center.
It worked! Thanx for that, now I can see all my folders on media center! I'm having a bit of connection issues but I'll fiddle around and see if I can make the videos work. They work perfect on my media center pc just a bit slow and some don't load on my Xbox extender ( they use to work when connected with USB to the media center pc). What is interesting is that the wmv thumbnail cover art show up fine on my Xbox through media center but when I connect directly from the Xbox to the pogo I don't see the art?? I also can't add a pogo drive as my rocorded tv folder because pogo is showing the drive as fat when it is really ntfs??
Hello,
NTFS seen as FAT is on purpose, because there are some kernel calls for NTFS that we don't support(yet) in the DriveApp.
MediaCenter and Xbox360 do something for video-thumbnails over UPnP that we currently cannot reproduce from the Pogoplug's firmware.

Oh ok. That's fine, having a network drive for recording shows isn't too important for me, just wanted to make sure it wasn't a problem specific to me. It's a shame that the pogoplug can't show the thumbnails as it's taken me a lot of work to add meta art for all my wmv and mp4 files. Not even the iPhone app shows the artwork for it's native mp4 video files which is why I thought there might have been a setting I missed. Definetly an important feature from my point of view. Well thanks for your help.
Do you see thumbnails for these files in the WebUI when you login?

When using the web ui I see thumbnails made from a screenshot, not the embedded cover art that I've added to the files. When I use my pc and view the pogo plug in explorer the files show the correct meta art.
Ah, okay. Currently we only read albumart from music files. Video files will only have the thumbnails we generate; which currently is from about 3 seconds into the video. The Pogoplug API currently does not support detecting custom thumbnails for videos and we currently cannot deliver video thumbnails to xbox360.
Now, if you don't see the same thumbnails on the iPhoneApp as you do on the website - there might be an issue there.
Thanks,

Yeah, I only see that screenshot thumbnail on all my video files, is there any plans to eventually support video meta art? Also when I initially used my iPhone app to listen to music when it started playing I would see the album art fullscreen, now it just plays with a black screen, no art. Do you have any idea how I can correct this? It happens on both my iPhone and my gf's. In the list where I choose the music file I can still see the album art for the mp3 it just doesn't show up when I play the song anymore.
There are plans to improve the mobile-phone apps.
We hope to address the issues users have alerted us to in the upcoming versions.

I know it's been awhile but I just wanted to ask if there is any future plans to support video meta art in the future. I have a large library and scrolling through using the cover art on my Xbox make things so much easier.
Just wanted to know if there are any plans to implement video thumbnails. I can see other upnp servers have figured out how to send them and hope the pogo team plans to add this feature.
Other media servers?
Is there a non-microsoft UPnP server that shows thumbnails to the Xbox360?

Apparently so. I read about a couple the other day, can't remember where but I did find this. http://jensge.org/author/jens/ it shows the changelog for Rygel Master ( a UPNP server) They had success sending video thumbnails to the xbox 360. Ill look for the other servers I found that can do it aswell.........
That is very interesting!
I'll share this info with the developers.

This would be such a great feature.. I'm excited just thinking that there may be a chance lol. now if I could only fix my shared with me folders not showing up on my xbox I'd be set. But I'm sure they are hard at work on a fix....

Anybody? I also would like to know if there is a way to make the
Pogoplug attached drives have a set drive letter so I could access them
and map them from windows media center..??
I wish there was a FAQ for the Xbox 360 as I've been having a few issues
setting up sharing ( mainly turned out to be a router/wifi problem )
I am really enjoying my pogoplug but to have my video cover art show and be able
To use it with media center would be the icing on he cake.....
