I don't think it will work that way. The printer needs to be plugged into the Pogoplug or your router.

I have an HP B8550 printer that works with my Dockstar when directly connected to it. Unfortunately the Dockstar (or Pogoplug) doesn't support using the printer for network printing, only through the Pogoplug web interface or sending to the email address as well as the iPhone app.
I connected the printer to a Windows XP workstation and shared it. I am able to connect and print from my Windows workstations but the printer is not recognized by the Dockstar.
Is the Dockstar (Pogoplug) able to use a Windows shared printer that is available on the same network segment? Are there other parameters that need to be tweaked?
Will it be possible to enable printer sharing for Windows network like we are able to enable it for attached drives. Like smb print sharing?
