homerinvests said: I like the idea and simplicity of the Pogoplug, but after 10days +- I'm beginning to feel I've wasted my money. 1) Glitchy operation. - Loses External Drives - Active Copy failing to USB key and reporting drives not on LAN (even when they are accessible and ARE on the same LAN). - Some files that did Active Copy successfully before and I had presumed were 'backed up' are corrupt - I don't know the proper terminology but some of the thousands of pictures copied over are 'blocky' - maybe 1 in 100 or so. Has this happened with other files??? 2) Brutally slow. - Copying under 500megs (200 excel files) to a Pogoplug attached USB key took over 20 minutes. - Opening a 300meg AVI file from same Pogoplugged USB Key took over 4 minutes. 3) Slow support problem resolution. - The failing Active Copy is the big issue for me, and I opened a support call. After 5 days all they've recommended is a check disk on the USB key (no errors were found) and deselecting the Active Copy only to Local LAN Option (which didn't help, and shouldn't apply anyway since my home PC and the Pogoplug are on the same LAN). These two steps represent perhaps 5 minutes worth of troubleshooting over 5 days. Please, let's setup a time for a call, or a WEBEX session or a GotoMeeting session. I'll even host the GotoMeeting. Not impressed so far. HomerWhat did CEi's Support group have to say about these issues?
