This sounds like an issue for Pogoplug support, but you might want to try running a disk checking program (such as Disk Utility for Mac as one example) on the drives. It's possible there's an error or corrupted files that the Pogoplug cannot handle that are causing these failures.

When I first got my PogoPlug I tried to implement some kind of media server on it. I believe it was firefly. It never really worked and my pogoplug just sat there. I am now using my pogoplug to host videos for my PC and PS3. But I have an issue where the drive folders in my pogoplug disappear. I get something that looks like this POGOPLUG(P:)>WD Ext HDD 1021> nothing. I have to unplug my pogoplug and the drives> plug in the pogoplug>plug in the drives to get things working again. If I make any changes to the settings in the web interface this will always happen, but only occasionally happens when loading video to the device.
So is there a way to "WIPE" the software on the pogoplug and start fresh? Or any other tips for me to try?
