Hi I'm new since today, everything looks great but when I upload a file it says date: feb. 7 2036.... Is it possible to change? For example the file zolder.jpg (below)

I don't have an option to change this.

System time is right... router time is also right...

Thanks for your advice!

Hello,

For JPEGs, the Pogoplug reads metadata. Particularly a field called "Exif.Photo.DateTimeOriginal". If this field is invalid/corrupt somehow, this may be the result. If you're noticing this only with JPEGs, then this is probably what's happening.

It cannot be changed on the Pogoplug. Rather, the file would need to be changed before being introduced to the Pogoplug. In Windows7, this can be changed by hightlighting the picture and at the bottom of the File Explorer should be a field called "Date Taken" that is editable.

The only limit to the Pogoplug is your imagination... and C skills... and linux skills. ^_^ h\t\tp://download.pogoplug.com/opensource/pogoplug-gcc.tar.bz2

Thanks for the possible solution. (but the Date Taken is ok)

I discovered that when I create a new folder in the Pogoplug it's also 2036!

I'm having the same exact problem with the same date showing. This is a recent issue and shows for all new files of all types. I'm using HFS+

Still no solution for this issue?

Hello,

The firmware you have on your Pogoplug now is probably newer than when this issue appeared for your data. Please try removing the .cedata folder from you Pogoplug drive, causing the Pogoplug to rebuild it. This can be done by:

Ejecting your drives safely from the WebUI

Connecting drive to a PC/Mac.

At the root/top level of the drive, there will be a folder called ".cedata". It might be a hidden folder, so you may be requried to know how to find hidden folders in your computer's operating system(or you could file a support ticket with us at support.pogoplug.com)

After deleting this folder, safely eject from your PC/Mac.

Cut the power to the Pogoplug, then return it - causing a reboot.

When the Pogoplug logo light stops blinking, plug your USBdrive back into the Pogoplug.

Give the Pogoplug some time to re-index your files.

The dates should look correct.
