I've been try to find out about this without much luck. Can anyone tell me if there are plans to support some kind of organisation of videos in the XBox display?

At present I have over 400 files showing up in alphabetical order which is painful at best to navigate and I'm sure many other users have more.

Are there any plans to add in support for folders or better still tags which would translate to folders on the XBox?

(I've a feeling that one of the linux media servers did something like this but can't recall which one or how well it worked)

Hello,

A somewhat awkward workaround to this, is to:

1.share your harddrive with yourself(as in enable sharing then type in your own email into the share).
2.When you navigate to your Pogoplug in the Xbox menu, select "Shared with me" instead of your harddrive.
3. Then browser your drive from there.

You should see the same folder structure that is on the drive itself.

The only limit to the Pogoplug is your imagination... and C skills... and linux skills. ^_^ h\t\tp://download.pogoplug.com/opensource/pogoplug-gcc.tar.bz2

Works like a charm, thanks! Much preferable to scrolling through 400+ listed entries.

I'm curious to know why it doesn't do this on the Local Videos folder. Is this an XBox issue then?

Can you give us any idea what plans (if any) there are to develop the media server side of things in the future? It's certainly what I use my Plug the most for.

[ Oh, and thanks for the reminder - need to get the rest of DN and finish watching it! ;-) ]
