The app only lets you view low-res thumbnails. The only things that can be saved via the app are the low-res thumbnails.
If an image does not have a thumbnail, the iPad app says "Connection error" when trying to view.
iPad users need a better way to view photos from their Pogoplug drive(s).
Thanks.

i have sent a message to pogoplug.they answer like it was a bug they will fix but nothing comes.
I am very disappoint from them.
(sorry for my english)
My Ipad works fine. It took a couple days for PP to index or whatever it does and now they all show up fine.
seriusly? Are you hired to spread som positive fairy-dust on these forums? have you even looked at the photos or got hires photos? the ones we got got clearly artifacts. sorry for being harse, but I really dont think you got hires on yours, because all I have seen are the same.
Karlos would it help if I sent you a link to mine? Do you want access to a folder. I dont know if it would be the same, but we can try if you want. PM me you email.
No fairy dust here. Did you try and delete the ceid folder and let it rebuild?
Oh it definitely works, so long as you don't mind looking only at low-res images. Not really why we buy iPads though.
Totally agree, put a comment in the general forum that said the exact same thing. Looks like a $10 digital camera took the photos.

This definitely needs to be fixed!
Codewarrior, thanks for your efforts and research. Unfortunately, it looks like a Mac fix only and is kind of combersome.
Come on PogoPlug guys!
Also, the iPad app does some strange things when viewing wide-screen photos. The first one will show up correctly, but then all of the others show up 'zoomed in' with no way to zoom out to see the full images. The iPhone app doesn't seem to have this problem and seems to work better on the iPad anyway.

Well no, I don't even have a Mac. Generic fix, at least I think.
Enjoy.

Thanks Glen. I reread the steps and clearly I misread something. I've assigned a static IP to my device, but am not sure I will try the rest of your technique. I would be interested to know more about how this works from an aesthetics perspective. If I understand correctly, you get text to paste into a browser or an HTML document with links, but no thumbnails. Is that correct?
It would make a lot of sense for the Pogoplug devs to put an option in the app to show and/or download the full rez pic.

It will generate links directly to the files, thus no thumbnails or anothing like that. Idea is to just get at the raw data(jpg or whatever) files.
I will try to put a few more comments and clean up the article a bit. It was all researched and done over one weekend.
Glen.
