I understand the need to eject a hard drive but I have a problem where sometimes it no longer is recognizing the hard drive.  I want to disconnect it properly to check it out, defrag it and whatnot.  I have to just unplug it and then when I connect it to my win laptop, it says it has errors because it was improperly disconnected.  How can I avoid this?  Unplug the pogoplug and then the hard drive?  Any problems with corruption of data?
