Hi there,

I'm a brand new pogoplug user and liking it so far!

Quick question though -

Does the pogoplug index hidden files?

I have a rather large folder (with A LOT of files in it) that is on my external drive attached to my pogoplug. I very rarely (read: never) access or will access this folder, but I must keep it on the drive for just-in-case backup purposes and due to its large size. I really don't want or need the 'plug to index these files, scan them for media, show them in the Android App, etc.

If I make the folder hidden, will the 'plug still index and/or display the media files contained within that one folder?

Thanks!

Hey guys,
I guess I answered my own question here. No, pogoplug will not index hidden folders.

You can make a folder hidden by adding a . before the folder name in OS X, idk about windows. Though i would assume you would need to add the dot because the plug runs on linux (not 100% sure of that fact).
Then, I cleared the .cedata folder from the drive.

I plugged it back in to the 'plug, and when it reindexed everything, it skipped over the hidden folder - acted like the folder doesn't even exist, which is exactly what I wanted.

Hope this helps someone!
