Hi,

It is possible to use fuse under Pogoplug to mount ftp etc so they could act as a regular share drives under pogoplug?

It would be an interesting scenario because you could stop using FTP like clients to acces your remote files, plsu you could get access to them anywhere and on any computer whit out installing aditional software.

Pogoplug could become a hub for all the data on-line.

Yes, you can. Fuse is already supported on the Pogoplug.
I am mounting the Pogoplug hard drives on my host via sshfs.
You need Openpogo and a sftp-server program for that.
I also run a samba server on the plug and the plug has an NFS client.
What more do you want?

I meant the other way around. Mounting (S)FTP accounts on Pogoplug as HDD

Okay, I see what you mean. For that you would need sshfs for instance,
or the simpler shfsmount program. As far as I can tell there is no sshfs
ipkg package available. You could consider compiling your own. If it only
concerns disks sitting in your local network, ou might consider mounting them
as anetwork file system, assuming the hosts run either an NFS or SMB server.

I might have a solution for you. See my blog at http://openpogo.tumblr.com
If you have a /opt on your plug, you can simply get the sshfs binary and associated libs from my download area. Good luck.
