Same thing happens to me, its so damn annoying. I thought it might be a problem with my drive but I've tried 3 different drives so far. Plug them in and they work, the next day they won't show up and I have to reset my pogoplug.
I've seen this problem a few place and no solution so unfortunately I'm returning my pogoplug. It really sucks because I love this thing when its working and had big plans for it.
Seems as though after a certain amount of time, the drives seem to time out or something. After 12 or 24 hours I have to reset the PogoPlus Pro device in order to see them on the PC as drives or on the web, seems fairly impractical to have to keep doing this.
I use the mobile app for Android and I can still see the drives, actually, each drive shows up twice for some reason.
Anyways, rather than having to reset the device every day, anyway to fix this?
Thanks!
I have contacted tech support, this seems to be an known issue and was told that they are working on a fix. Not sure how long it will be, but yeah, this when it works is really great.

Well, resetting doesn't even work for me. I've reset my pogoplug a couple times and the drive will no longer appear. grrrr!
Oh, excellent. I hope their ETA for the fix isn't outside of the period that I can return it if I need to. blah.
Usually unplugging the power and plugging in will work for a few hrs then they are gone.
I am in the same boat, I have about 2 weeks left to return before I am SOL. When I hear back I will be sure to post and let you know.
I have been having the same problem. I have two computers here that I use. One runs Vista and never loses the drive. My other runs XP Professional and loses the drive FREQUENTLY! When I start my XP machine, I always ensure that the initial screen that comes up saying that you are signed in as blah blah blah is never closed. If I lose the drive, I sign out and back in again and voila, there it is again.
Hope this helps:)
It doesnt matter what PC I use, or even Android App. It seems as though as soon as the media is queued up, it disconnects.
I am still working with the support team to figure this out. :(
When I notice the attached usb hard drive is no longer available, instead of unplugging the device, I ssh in and sbin/reboot. This usually fixes the problem and is useful if I am not at the same location as the physical Pogoplug unit.
How do you do that?
I cant access the IP address after it disconnects.
The my.pogoplug.com site does however, just says no drives.

Assuming you have only lost your desktop drive access then => Right click on the pogoplug desktop drive icon on the taskbar and select "reload" to get your drive access back.
(Edit: For Windows OS)
Remember, its not what life does to you, but what you do with what life does to you, that matters.
I have had the same problem except I lose the drive from the desktop and webpage. I was unplugging the pogoplug and they would come back but now the green light starts flashing then it goes immediately back to orange and no drives are available.
Alright well, I had to return it, tech support and I just could not get it working. BUT I did pick up something else, and turns out it also uses the PogoPlug websoftware to make it work, which makes me thing it was the piece of hardware.
I bought the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex Net (without the SATA drives) and it works GREAT for $99!
It only has 1 USB port but I also bought a USB Hub (powered) and all 4 of my USB drives show up. You can also get the one with the 2 SATA drives for $159 bucks.
In order to get the drives to work with the USB Hub, I had to plug each drive into the Seagate piece, let it populate, then disconnect. Repeat for each drive, then when done plug them all in to the USB Hub and plug that in to the Seagate piece and your set.
Give it a try, its been going to for 2 weeks without a disconnect with all the same drives as I tried with the PogoPlug Pro.

This also happens when I restart my computer, the Pogoplug Pro is hooked directly up to my router via ethernet. Which never gets turned off, the light is green.
I just rebooted and I cant see the drives online or on my PC via My Computer.
This is very frustrating!!!
