I agree : the last firmware is including a bug wich do not allow the pogoplug to stream video on console.
According to information I received from support, the new firmware 2.5.4 is automaticaly roll out right now and will fix the problem but there is no planning.
- Why isn't it possible to install it by ourself manualy ?
- Why isn't it possible to manually possible to roll back to the previous firmware until the new one is fixed ?
Both solution would allow us to quickly fix the problem.

Can we update firmware manually?
I actually hate that Pogoplug is updating firmware automatically without my approval.
And I have been waiting for the firmware update from 2.1.2 to 2.5 to enable my wireless for hours without any success. It's actually ridiculous not be able to update firmware manually.
Any one has idea of updating firmware manually and only manually?
PS. If Pogoplug server can update my device firmware without my approval, how can we ensure the privacy of our files? I am seriously thinking of returning Pogoplug due to this firmware update issue/method.
Hi Guys,
Unfortunately, we do not have the mechanism built into Pogoplug to support manual upgrades at this time. However, we agree that having the ability to manually manage the firmware version on your Pogoplug is important. While there is not an exact date known for when this will happen, I can tell you that we are actively investigating what it will take to add this functionality.
