Yes the android app has a password login (if that's what you're asking). You can also choose to remember it if that's what you want to do.
I purchased a Pogoplug Pro a few weeks ago for the first time. There's a learning curve with finding out the fastest and most efficient way to do things.
I still haven't broken the code on how to format video to stream to my motorola droid. I've used handbrake, arista transcoder, etc, but it's not happening despite the files playing if I transfer them via usb to my phone.
I also saw the wireless setup option on day one and maybe day two. I didn't take advantage of it since I was still figuring things out. I haven't seen it since and haven't figured out how to get it back.
I think it's a two dollar difference between the base and the pro. If you're planning on the wireless option as a primary course of action, great, if not, maybe they'll get it fixed.
Does the android app have a password option? Thats one of my complains with my dropbox account. Everyone happy with their purchase?
I have had the pogoplug for three months now. It works ok on my laptop, but not consistently. I have a new HTC Thunderbolt, and the so seems to work until you actually try to view a photo or steam video. Then it either crashes or just says it is not available. Music seems to work most of the time, but not always. So far I an extremely unimpressed with the Android ap specifically and the pogoplug in general is not living up to my expectations. I just want it to work as advertised!
