I've been trying to transfer a large amount of data the last couple days and its getting slower and slower. I have a gigabit router and I am moving data from PC with a gig NIC. The only thing I can determine (without looking up how to show processes and resource usage via SSH) is that the slow down is coming from the indexing and transcoding going on while also trying to upload data. I've unchecked everything under media and I keep clicking STOP but it just moves on to the next file. Is there any way at all to stop the index and encoding temporarily until my data is moved?

Found my answer in another thread I think. Adam C. said: go to the media settings page and if you have the setting 'Allow Pogoplug to optimize videos for playback' set to never, then change it to 'auto-generate preview', then click re-scan, then change the same setting to 'never' and click re-scan
I have done this and it looks like transcoding has stopped. I'm hoping this frees up some resources and speeds up the initially large amount of data I am moving.
