It's confirmed as a firmware bug. You will need to choose settings / media then for the drive in question, set the transcode mode to "Preview" - press the "Re-scan", then set the transcode mode to "None" and "Re-scan" again. This is from the top of my head as I'm at work - but pretty sure those are the steps to take. Tried it on my own system (had exactly the same issue) and it worked for me!

Hi all,
Bit of a problem here... my new pogoplug is feverishly trying to transcode over 1,500 videos on my attached drives, and I see no way of canceling the process save for manually clicking 'remove' on each and every queued file... I have no idea why it is trying to transcode everything seeing as my settings are switched to 'never' transcode, but hey.
Any suggestions? Because at this rate it's going to take years before I can actually use this thing...

I should also add that I don;t even have 1,500 videos, so what it's trying to transcode I have no idea.
