Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am very new to pogoplug. When I use the windows pogo drive and upload a file is it going through the internet or my local network?

The drive app and web app will check if your computer is connected to the home network to which your pogoplug is connected. If so, the data will be transferred via the local network at up to gigabit speed. If not, files will be transferred via the internet and pogoplug servers which is slower.

Thank you so much, one more question, when I am accessing files through a web browser while on my home network will that go through the internet or my local network?

Data transfers will travel over the network when you are connected by wireless or wire to your local network.
