Hi all just got my pogoplug, so far all good v impressed. One question i cant get my head round.

When i go to either music or video or photos in the my library section on the web browser i it says you will need to upload music before it appears in this filter. However the upload button at the base is greyed out so i cant upload! i have attached a wd usb hdd with music on it which i wanted to 'upload' to the music section in my library.

Im probably being stupid but any help is much appriciated!

If you have already "preloaded" media, i.e. music, on your HDD before connecting the HDD to pogoplug then you have effectively "uploaded" the files. Upload is used to bring media from your network into your pogoplug attached HDD.

The media filters, i.e. music, pictures, video, search your attached HDD's for that type of media automatically and present it on demand. The files are not moved just referenced.

If you have connected a HDD to your pogoplug you should be able to browse your HDD files directly using either the web app (my.pogoplug.com) or the PC desktop drive app. Can you see your external drive in the web app?

When you connect a new drive to pogoplug it starts to index all the files, transcoding video, etc. Check in Settings => Media settings on the web app to see current activity.

Your pogoplug may be very busy at this time!

Remember, its not what life does to you, but what you do with what life does to you, that matters.
