I'm not sure why it chooses to show that much space as "available," but I'm pretty sure that you aren't able to actually copy files to this "drive" or use the space in any way other than accessing the files that are shared with you from other Pogoplugs on your desktop.
I hope this is not too basic of a question. I have a pretty good clue about this stuff but I am curious.
Runing Win7, 64bit. Two internal drives, 1T and 320G, and a 250G external. I have a 640G external connected to my Pogoplug.
My Pogoplug P: drive shows up as "Files shared with me (P:)". This is normal I know, but it is showing as a 4.00 TB drive with 2.00 TB available.
What and where is this drive? I do not have a 4T drive or even 4 TB with of drives total. Is this a virtual drive? Is it part of Pogoplug?
I do not want to use this space unles I know exactly what and where it is. 2T is nothing to sneeze at and I would love to use this space.
Thanks all.
Thanks Peter. Yeah, I found this strange as well.
I should have stated, I do have "Enable multi-drive mode" enabled and the "P:" drive is showing up this way in My Computer. The other strange part is how it is showing exactly a 4.00 TB drive with exactly 2.00 TB available. This has not changed all week since I installed the Pogo.
I just tried to copy a few hundred meg file to that "drive" and you are right. It would not let me.
Very strange.
Thanks again.
I think the issue is that in theory, the "files shared with me" drive has "unlimited" storage. Since it isn't really a drive, rather, a virtualization of files shared with you on other Pogoplugs, I don't think the data counts will ever actually change... but I could be wrong!
I noticed the same thing; however my drive is showing a 2TB drive with 2TB available. I'm using version 1 of the PogoPlug.
BTW, how do I "unshare" a file with PogoPlug that I no longer want to share? I also use MobileMe for business and there is an option to set a time limit for the share. This option would be great in PogoPlug. For me it is easier when a share expires rather than trying to always remember what shares I have setup for what people.
So is there a simple way I don't see or even an actual way to deactivate a share besides deleting the file?
Thank you for your time.

Open web app in my.pogoplug. Select the green share icon on the file or folder which you are sharing which brings up the sharing info. Uncheck "Turn on sharing for file" (or folder) and confirm by clicking yes when prompted.
Remember, its not what life does to you, but what you do with what life does to you, that matters.

That's what I thought. I did that and the file still shows active sharing and is shown under "files I'm sharing". I considered there was a step that I might have missed but I didn't. Thanks for the reply willieboy. I appreciate it.

I have the same 2TB of 4TB showing. Have one 500GB drive attached and zero files shared. Installed it today and it immediately appeared this way. I want to map a static drive letter as posted in the FAQ and it won't work and the P: and Q: drives always appear.
Any new revelations?
