Hi!

It appears that my Pogoplug was updated to firmware version 2.5 and it now includes a Print settings page. Great! However, the checkbox next to "Enable printer discovery for" is greyed out and cannot be ticked! Both my printers (a HP and a Lexmark) are connected through the network (Ethernet) and hence not to any USB port of the Pogoplug. According to postings on pogoplugged, this should work, but it appears not to be working.

Anyone have an idea of why?

The tutorial describing the print functions states that;

"This feature works whether the printer is connected to your LAN or directly to your Pogoplug via USB, and is compatible with HP and Epson printers (post-2005.)"

Therefore, your HP should work if made after 2005 but the Lexmark will not.

Are you sure that your firmware has actually been updated to 2.5 and not the UI Version or Service version which have also been updated to 2.5.0?

Find howto here;

No, I don't know the firmware version. How can I tell? (I see just the UI and Service versions on the web-page)

See this post, where it states Device 2.1.2  this is actually the firmware version for your pogoplug.
