UI and service version now updated to 2.5.0.

Firmware still stuck on 2.1.2. Does this need re-booted to install 2.5.0 ?

Print setting still in BETA ? Cry

Same for me. :-(

Why o why can we not download this firmware release.

I'm sure we have all updated our firmware on ADSL routers at some stage successfully.

Anyway I'm waiting for iOS4.1 to drop, that will keep me occupied :-)

I've still got UI version 2.2.1 but have been updated to service version 2.5.0

Obviously the rollout is in progress .... patience, patience! Smile

The Biz models are first to get the upgrade.

I have the new firmware, but on the Print Settings tab it has a check box to enable printer discovery. This is grayed out on mine. Can't check it and can't see my HP printer.

Kevin,
I think that they updated the web server but our pogo don't yet have the firmware. My printer discovery box is also greyed out and I suspect this is the case for others as well.
They said they are rolling out the firmware to biz owners first and the rest of us in 2-3 weeks.

Nope. My firmware says 2.5. So I have the new firmware. Just not working.

Exactly like KevinPurcell for me

@PogoTeam : What's happening ?

If you look under settings you will see a list of Pogoplug devices. Just have one on mine. It still says the old number for version. So the interface has been updated but the devices are not. I'm guessing that if you don't have a Biz device you don't have the new version listed there in settings.

Under settings TAB, service version now 2.5.0_DEBUG, strange !!!!!

Firmware 2.1.2

September 8, 2010 2:00 PM updated: September 8, 2010 2:26 PM

Yes I just noticed that "debug" as well.

And now my pogo plug has just frozen on me?

September 8, 2010 2:51 PM

Well my web app updated to UI 2.2.1 Service version 2.5.0.

Then a little later UI updated to 2.5.0 and the upload settings and printer settings appeared on the settings menu. Shortly afterwards there was a brief error message which I failed to note and the UI reverted to 2.2.1 again!

A little later I noticed the service version had changed to 2.5.0_DEBUG! I could access the printer settings but of course as the firmware wasn't updated the options were greyed out.

Then when I selected a drive it was busy for a long time eventually reporting that there was no content on the drive, same result for the other drive.

Eventually web app crashed and I have not been able to access my pogoplug using the web app since! I just get a blank screen after sign-in.

Throughout the pogoplug firmware remained at version 2.1.2.

However, I can still access pogo using the desktop drive app and see and access content on both drives as normal. Curious !!

Possibly something amiss at CE? I'll leave it a while and retry later.

Based on some posts I have seen on Twitter from @Pogoplug, the firmware update is still in the process of rolling out to users, so keep your eyes open for it.
