Brought a Pogoplug yesterday and thoght i would start a thread on user experiances

for me:

I am slowly (day 2) getting disapointed with Pogoplug

Yesterday the activation method did not work, was set manually by Pogoplug some time later - so much for the 60 seconds - thanks to this forum i understood other had the same issue.

Today added my Epson printer RX585 and it will not connect - Cant find detailed instructions on this, but thought it would be a simple plug and play activity

was considering getting the Biz version but am not 100% sure at the moment

The use of Pogoplug is very good sharing folders with work and friends is cool.

The print feature has not yet been rolled out - on the General Settings page you will see (at the bottom of the page):
UI Version: 2.5.x (where x might be 0, or 1, or...)
Service Version: 2.5.x
right now both are at version 2.2.1

You will also need to see your Firmware / Device version number at 2.5.x - right now it should be at 2.1.2 - we'll announce once these are actually updated, but for the moment they are not, and hence printing is not available as a feature.

So if i update my IPAD for the Pogoplug HD app will i be able to print???

I really am getting confused of what it live and what i comming down the line
with the Pogoplug, but am enjoying the forum no end :_)

You joined us at an interesting time - the forum is hopping right now as we are a bit delayed in this release and it will be a great feature set, as soon as we have it out :D

To answer your question - NO printing from any client will work until the firmware and the website are both updated. Soon as those work, iPad will also work.

Many thanks thats what was my thinking, so the $1 million dollar question is
when will the firmware update be updated on the Pogoplug boxes.
