Just a little question :

I have about 20 films on my drive, and asked to the pogoplug to transcode it.

I saw the beginning of the operation (elapsed time and percentage running), so I decided to close my.pogoplug.com page.

A couple of hours later I saw that the transcodage has not move for an inch, but its resume when I'm logged on the web interface.

Is it logicial ? The process isn't running on background whenever if the web interface is close ?

Thanks for your help

Best regards

Marc

You are absolutely correct - the transcode should be running regardless of whether or not you have the webpage open. It moves at between 4 and say, 14 FPS, depending on the quality of the original - AVCHD files can be slower than 1 FPS.

If you have 20 movies to transcode of very high quality it will take some time. If you think that the process is not happening, definitely contact support http://support.pogoplug.com

The transcoding should be running in the background; the Pogoplug is a self-contained "computer" of sorts. Try the basic stuff, like rebooting your Pogoplug or system (which I pretty much recommend as a standard first line troubleshooting solution) and if that doesn't work, I'd look to either posts from other members (I'm not a transcoding expert) or contact Pogoplug support directly.
