I attempted to activate my Pogoplug enabled Seagate Dockstar, but am having an issue. I get as far as the verification email being sent to me email account, and then the problem begins. I receive the email, but there is no link. All I see is a PogoPlug graphic with a large black box in the middle. When I highlight it, hidden text appears that says "Click here to finish activating your FreeAgent DockStar™", but there is no link.

I really want to have this set up today. Help!

I would contact Pogoplug support right away - support@pogoplug.com or the link in the help tab will take you there.

Your lucky you even got an activation email. I am still waiting for one. I've sent a question on what is the problem to support@pogoplug.com, but go figure, no response either.

As suggested above, send an email to support@pogoplug.com.  They manually activated my account after I did that.  It took about 2 hours for me to get a response (late Saturday night).  Not bad.

I had the same problem today trying to activate from the seagate activation page. I later requested the activation email be sent again from the https://my.pogoplug.com/index.html after logging in with my email and password. This time I didn't get the logo picture, instead just a basic email with a link. Worked for me, third time was the charm....

We have escalated a request to Seagate to resolve their Activation email as this code lives with them.

In the meantime, please submit a request to Pogoplug Support so we can manually activate you.

Hi all

Another quick update.

A handful of user's have been able to activate from their mobile email client.

Also, you can visit the non-branded site http://my.pogoplug.com try to login with your email and password and when you fail to login you will taken to an activation screen from which you can re-send your activation email from my.pogoplug.com. This email link should work.

Please give this a try.

If you still can't activate, please submit a request to Pogoplug Support so we can manually activate you.

Hi Puneet

You've had a few requests into Support.

I've already manually activated your account this weekend and notified you a few times.

I guess the Yahoo spam gods are against us. Replies comes from notifications-support@pogoplug.com

You are fully activated with Pogoplug Service and should be able to login to dockstar.pogoplug.com

In partnership with Seagate we are looking into this issue to try to resolve this.

I just bought the pogoplug biz to the tune of $299!  I am really excited to use it and keep trying to set it up.  No activation email.  The wonderful always open support people are gone for the Christmas holiday from the 24th to the 27!  So everyone buying or receiving one of these who can't get activated at Christmas think we have been taken!  No problem with getting the activation email to join the pogoplug community!  No problem getting an activation email to join the customer support for pogoplug.  WHEN I PUT IN MY EMAIL TO GET MY ACTIVATION TO USE THE POGOPLUG IT COMES UP WITH A MESSAGE THAT THE EMAIL ADDRESS ISN'T VALID!  IF THIS WAS A PUBLIC COMPANY I WOULD SELL SHORT!  EVEN MY LOCAL GAS STATION DOESN'T CLOSE FOR 3 DAYS AT THE BUSIEST TIME OF THE YEAR.  SIGNED...A VERY FRUSTRATED BUYER WHO IS GOING TO RETURN THIS AS SOON AS THE WONDERFUL POST OFFICE OPENS MONDAY.

Heres a quick update - the email server that sends activation emails was temporarily down and was not automatically switching over to the backup servers. We have fixed the problem and will continue to monitor the emails over the weekend. I sincerely apologize for the delay and we will work hard to make sure this does not happen again.

If you ran into this activation issue, please write to me directly at jed@cloudengines.com. I would like to hear from you and have a chance to apologize personally. I would also like to find a way to make this up to you. You have all been amazing to our company and I want to make sure you understand how important you are to us.
