I haven't been having issues, but I'm going to install this anyway - probably good to have the latest updates. Thanks for posting this!

2.1.7 has some fixes for running Snow Leopard in 64-bit
It fixed my -36 finder copy issue on the MacPro and allowed the pogoplug drives to show up in the finder on the Mini. It was obvious the prior installed version MacFuse was having issues after visiting the console.
Here's the download- MacFuse 2.1.7 for Snow Leopard 10.6.4 64-bit
The google code site says the latest version is 2.0.3. How is this 2.1.7?? http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/
From my system when I use the system prefs to check for updates on MacFuse it shows latest version is 2.0.2. However if I check the "Show Beta Versions" checkbox I then see a version 2.1.4 (Beta). I'm running on Tiger though.
Maybe the 2.1.7 version is a Beta for Snow Leopard??

If you're not having issues, then there's no reason to use this version. But if you are, it's an option. If it doesn't work, or causes issues then remove and install the prior version. It fixed issues I was having on two of my SL machines running 10.6.4. The 10.6.2 machine has no issues and still runs the 2.0.2 version.
Update- Issues copying in the finder from the MacPro (10.6.4) are back. Same as before - I get an error -36 and a random selection of files appear on the pogo drive but are usually shown as 0kb. I hate to say it, but that concerns me more than not copying files at all. At this point, I'll probably move to openpogo and using an smb share just to simplify the process.
I believe that MacFuse currently is not thread safe, which is a requirement in 64bit Snow Leopard. While 2.1.7 may compile and run, you will eventually run into issues if you have a lot of file I/O going on.
Right now the main developer of MacFuse is on to other projects, and there has not been much movement on 64bit support. Considering how many commercial products depend on MacFuse, I hope somebody can sponsor a full-time developer to keep this project going.

I am having issues with the Pogoplug drive "disconnecting" itself when I am using it as the target drive for some video transcoding. I have just updated MacFuse to 2.1.5 (beta version) from 2.0.something and I'll try again...
Thanks. The MacFuse 2.1.7 enabled my mac to display the drives. It was frustrating not seeing the drives. This fixed it!

Same experience here, MacFUSE 2.1.7 makes the Pogo a lot more stable.
I'm running Snow Leopard on a MacBook with the 64-bit kernel.
Had to reboot after installing MacFUSE, but things are humming - at least from the MacBook side of the house.
Update- I never got the PogoPlug to work perfectly. I'd resolve one issue only to find another as device demands expanded. I planned to use my Pogoplug as a media cloud for music and video. I had a mini (10.6.4,5) mounting the three 1tb drives hooked to the pogo and still had issues keeping the drives mounted. It would work for a day and then one of the drives would become unavailable to XBMC or Plex. Returning to the finder would show the unavailable drive, but when the window was opened there were no files. The only way to refresh the drives so they were available again was to eject ALL of them, quit the Pogo app, then restart the app and mount all the drives. I just got sick of this and combined with my XP PC not being able to write recorded high def video larger than 4gb (Pogo appears as FAT16 to XP apps), I've decided to abandon it in favor of just sharing the drives from a MacPro until I either get openpogo running for samba sharing or these issues are resolved by CE.
yay! i can finally see my drives! thanks for the tip for updating MacFUSE!
YES!! This 2.1.7 beta download worked for me - I just started using the latest macbook pro w/quad core 64 bit and OSX 10.6.6
the 2.1.5 beta did not work nor the version before it. This one (2.1.7) did and also did show that an update from 2.1.7 to 2.1.5 in the Mac Fuse System Preferences panel.
WINNING!! Bring it!

I bought the new macbook pro 13 inch today. This is the sandybridge one with the thunderbolt. I downloaded macfuse older version NOT the 2.1.7 from the google site. The upload date was back in 2008? wtf. anyways.. of course it does not work. It is the 32 bit version? So anyways.. after some frustration I downloaded the 2.1.7 version and NTFS-3G from the apple site. Works now.
Winning! Warlok powa
Alex-RN, I am wondering why you downloaded NTFS-3G for your pogoplug?
I have an older macbook pro running 10.6.7 and the drives will not stay connected (similar problems to robotico above) I tried the 2.1.7 version of macFuse from the link above and it did not seem to change anything...
Just trying to figure out what NTFS-3G has to do with it?
Dave
I was already using NTFS-3G before I had the pogoplug for writing to Ntfs drives. Uninstalling it had no impact on the pogoplug's function BEFORE it was working properly so I reinstalled. Then I installed the 2.1.7 Macfuse. You do need to reboot before the new version of Macfuse will work. I just recently installed a Parallels upgrade and it wiped my macfuse 2.1.7. So I had to reinstall and then reboot to get it to work again. Does the 2.1.7 version show as the beta version in the System Control Panel? You might try removing, reboot, install 2.1.7 and reboot...
Thanks for the reply!
I did do a reboot after installing the 2.1.7 version of macFuse, I confirmed that I am running the beta version in the System Preferences but it did not seem to solve any issues. I am getting "error - 36" when I try to copy files, or other errors if I use rsync. Finder is hanging, and occasionally the pogoplug drive will just disappear. Interestingly enough I was using pogoplug (V2-Pink) for 2 months before I had any issues...
Im not using NTFS-3G or Parallels (or any form of windows on my machine) so, one less variable for me I guess.
I have opened up a support ticket but they are taking a while to reply. I will try to do a full post with my issues once I hear back from support. Getting quite frustrated...
Dave
I found this forum from google. My query to google was how the hell do I get my mac to access my NTFS external hard drive. I found the solution here and was glad. To be honest I have not the slightest what the hell a pogo plug is, and I really do not care. I am happy that this place fixed my issues with accessing my external hard drive. Thats why I referenced ntfs - 3g.
Peace
Thank you so much for posting the link to the Snow Leopard compatible version of MacFUSE! I've been looking for it for over a week now; all other links were down. While I didn't have issues with Pogoplug, it helped me get Macfusion to work again. :-)
