I took a look at Task Manager on my XP system and saw 2 instances of ppfs.exe.  I was wondering why.

I right-clicked the Pogplug tray icon and selected reload.  Two strange things happened.  First, I now have 3 instances of ppfs.exe running.  Second, the drive letters for "Files shared with me" and for the single drive I currently have attached to the Pogoplug unit both changed.

Subsequent reloads do not create any more instances of ppfs.exe, but they always change the drive letters, advancing them down the alphabet.

I exited ppfs.exe by right-clicking the tray icon and selecting Exit.  All 3 instances of ppfs.exe in Task Manager disappeared.  That's good.  But when I fired up ppfs.exe again, all 3 instances came back.

Can anyone help me understand these phenomena?  My Pogoplug seems to be working OK, so it's not a problem, but I'd like to understand what's going on (and maybe learn how to keep drive letters from changing, and maybe save a bit of memory by running fewer instances of ppfs.exe).

Thanks.
