I am a newbie, I want to run movies on my iPad device. I have already converted the movie to h.264 streaming video format. I have been able to run the movie on my iphone with no problem.  But it seams that pogoplug wants to run it though it transcoding before you  can use the movie file. Why, there are alot of conversion programs out there to put in into a h.264 format, which is a lot faster. One more thing, were is the CEDB directory, does the movies need to be in that directory for them to work.
