is it possible to include disk check on future firmware updates? i backup everything on my laptop to my cloud pogoplug and if the ext disk is failing. i would like to be notified in advance to backup the data to another disk immediately.

It's a good idea - I've added it to the product backlog!

While this is indeed a good idea, may I remind you that your drive is a USB device, so you can simply remove it from the pogoplug, attach it to your workstation and run chkdsk on it there.

Now, if Cloud Systems is serious about a disk checking feature, they really should consider a drive management suite: Disk Check, Defrag, Partition Manager, and Formatter for any supported format. (Nothing like job security for the developers!)
