Some great questions and welcome to the community!
First, the upcoming Pogoplug Biz does add usage statistics, something that a lot of business users will find useful. If you currently own a Pogoplug, you can get a $100 discount off of the Biz. The regular 'Plug won't have this feature.
As for messages, that message bubble (I believe) is for updates from Cloud Engines or notifications from the service. The Pogoplug will send emails when you start up a share, but there is no back and forth messaging service per se.
Is there a way to tell if someone is accessing my pogoplug? I have a couple people set up on share and I don't see anyway to tell if they're connected and getting files.
Also, in the top right on the "my.pogoplug" web interface there is a message icon, but I don't see any way to send messages. Is that for general alerts or for people I share with? And if it's for people I share with, how do I send and/or recieve messages?
