With all of this cloud storage now (dropbox, zumodrive) Pogoplug needs to get this transcoding problem fixed. I am seriously considering selling mine on eBay. I will give the developers one more month to fix this then it goes on Ebay.

My brand new month old Pogoplug. I can pay 2.99 a month a get 10 gigs of storage and in 3 years wont have been as much as the pogoplug.

DEVELOPERS FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEFORE YOU PUT OUT A NEW 299.00 Biz pogoplug

I don't see why an ARM computer at 1.2GHz and 128/256MB RAM is doing transcoding in the first place. Cloud Engines would be better off just going back to 1.0, removing all the junk with monitoring drives for media files and transcoding and call it a day. Our drives will live longer because of less uptime and less power will be wasted. Just transcode on your desktop/laptop. It's many times faster and solves the problem.

Giving CE a one-month timeframe isn't realistic. This will take at least 6 months to fix.

If you assume that the P/P will run 24hrs, and you don't need access to your media immediately, then there is no issue with it going somewhat slow. Considering the modest hardware platform we are working with, I don't know what people are expecting. Honestly, there is really a *much* better approach to this problem, but since C/E can't even bother to add in printer support on a device that can fully support it, I'm not going to suggest anything else.

Guys , what transcoding issue? IPad only plays a few video formats. Are you sure the issue is not with the iPad? When I encode a movie for the iPad m4a or whatever it is, it plays fine? I just watched van helsing on my iPad directly from pogo plug drive?

I am new here so I could be missing something
