have you tried double clicking the .zip, in Lucid it should open a extracter window
When I download a folder as a filename.zip file and try to open it by a right click, extract to here under lucid, I get the following error message.
Archive: /home/wharvey/Downloads/Jun-Transfer.zip[/home/wharvey/Downloads/Jun-Transfer.zip] End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive. In the latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found on the last disk(s) of this archive.zipinfo: cannot find zipfile directory in one of /home/wharvey/Downloads/Jun-Transfer.zip or /home/wharvey/Downloads/Jun-Transfer.zip.zip, and cannot find /home/wharvey/Downloads/Jun-Transfer.zip.ZIP, period.
In general, I don't have any problems extracting zip files.
Any ideas?
Wilbur
I tried it again. Using Windows, it downloads a large zip file, about 247MB.
When using Chrome under Linux, it only downloads a ~30MB file, which is why it cannot unzip it. If I use Firefox under Linux the file is the same 247MB file and it unzips fine.
