I tried to play a avi file from my pogoplug app and it says video not supported. Does this mean that for me to play videos on my blackberry I have to have the videos in the correct format?

Generally, the videos stored on Pogoplug have to be transcoded before they can be played on a mobile device. Do you have transcoding enabled, and, if so, have the operations completed?

I have at least one of the videos transcoded and it still says that the video can't be played. I have an Android phone and it works on it perfectly, just not my blackberry.

Same here on my Storm 2. I can play music files and read doc files, etc but nothing on the videos. I've transcoded them, still don't work. I have tried only files that normally play on my Storm (ie off my microSD card or through ORB) and they still don't work through Pogoplug. Now I can play them on my netbook ok..just not my Blackberry.

Same problem here...I bought the pogoplug so I could watch vids on my BlackBerry 8900. So far it's been a major dissappointment. Not a single video has played...I transcoded everyone of the videos (at great lengths and time consumption as the transcoding process is soooo slow)...and I still get the error.."Sorry!! Cannot play the file." I've tried avi, flv, wmv, mov, mpg, mp4,mp3 and so on and not a single format has ever worked....I'm begining to think that the pogpplug is more hype than hit.

Nope. Not a peep from tech support. And I still monitor the forum. Am I the idiot?
