Hi,

I stream movies from the iphone to the TV through AV cables and its great..  For some reason this does not work with anything accessed through Pogoplug iphone application?

I can go onto BBC I player or into my saved movies on the iphone device and they all play through the cable. When i go into pogoplug app and play the movies the TV shows "No Signal"

What do i need to do to fix this?

TRANSCODING that is a huge problem with Pogoplug I have had mine about 2 weeks and it is still transcoding

Since writing the above i have found that its the iphone pogoplug application.
I can play through the pogoplug website onto the tv (Via apple av cable), i think because it is using quicktime, but not through the iphone pogoplug app.. I assume because it isn;t using a recognized player?

Can anyone confirm?

If this is the case, can the app be updated?

Are you playing mp4 files or avi files? Apple cords only transmit thru the ipod app on your phone. If your phone was jailbroke that would be a different story. I have 3rd party av cords and a jailbroke app and everything that displays on my iphone screen displays on my tv. The pogoplug app is not compatible with ipod app

I have a standard iphone 3GS (not jailbroken) with a cable that has the Apple chipset built in.
My movie files are mostly .avi

Ok the ipod app will only play mp4 and nothing else (believe me I have tried) the only thing you can transmit thru your stock apple cords is mp4's thru your ipod app. The pogoplug app is really only designed to play on your phones screen not a tv. If your phone was jailbroke you would have more options. Look into ORB for playing avi movies on your iphone. It does all the transoding on the fly not like pogoplug which has to transcode everything before you can play it (wow)

Even with ORB you still not be able to play your videos on your tv. But it does give you more options

I have a non-jailbroken iPhone 4. Using Apples official composite cable to my tv I can stream video from my churches website through safari, from my eyetv app, from my dropbox app, from my iPod app, etc etc to my tv but not from my pogoplug app. Thoughts?
