This sounds like a technical issue - you may want to contact Pogoplug support to have them check it out.

I just got my Segate FreeAgent Go 500 GB and DockStar today. I hooked up everything up and activated through PogoPlug but PogoPlug is only recognizing my drive as being 61.5 MB and is not showing any of the files that I put on it when I had it connected to my laptop via USB. Then I ran another test - I copied a file to the drive through pogoplug, then tried to access that file when the drive is connected directly to the laptop via USB and I can't find the file anywhere.
Something screwy is clearly going on here. Please help!

Just wanted to update: It turned out to be a defective unit. Exchanged it for a new one and everything works perfectly.
