I have the same problem. The processing (scanning, I guess) brings the cpu to its knees and slows the Pogoplug down to the point where it can't be used.
Is there an answer to how we can prevent this?
I added a second Pogoplug and drive to my "network" to create a mirror in the event of a hardware failure (plug or drive). I tried using active copy to create and maintain the mirror, but it did not work 100% of the time. So I turned off Active Copy (removed all of the folder pairings). I have also made sure that the Media Settings are NOT enabled and the Media Processing Options are set to NEVER.
Yet I still see the Pogoplug "Scanning" the folders from time to time which really slows down access to the device. I even tried to "Stop" the active scan and "Remove" the pending scans listed on the Media Settings page under the drive, but their was no response. The active scan continued to process and the pending scans remained on the list.
When this happend two days ago, I just had to let the "Processing" complete and then the access speed went back to normal.
Why does the Pogoplug start scanning the drive when the settings are turned off?
Why can't I stop an active scan or remove pending scans?
This is very frustrating.
