Hi All,

When attempting to preview files on my Pogoplug, e.g. ".txt, .doc", I see the "File view preparation" window informing me that the file is being uploaded to the Pogoplug servers to generate the preview, then I receive the following error:

There was an error preparing the document for previewing. Please ensure that the document has a valid format.

I have turned off previewing of files on my HD connected to the Pogoplug as I have thousands of photos and it was taken an age to generate previews.

Does anyone know why I cannot preview these files?

Many thanks in advance for any answers you may have.

Regards,

AJ

Might have been a momentary glitch can you try again and see if it's still happening?

I'm getting the same error. Did you find a resolution? Is there a proper way to restart the Pogoplug?

Hi Veris,

My fix was to simply leave the Pogoplug. After a few hours the problem fixed itself.

I believe that this issue may have something to do with the Pogoplug servers and not our pogoplugs.

Try leaving this for a day and see if it resolves itself. :)

Oh, I've had this issue for quite some time now. It's been left on for months! Oh well. Hopefully the pogoplug team will figure it out for me.

Same issue; started today. Will preview .pdfs but not .doc(x)s

:-)

PogoPlug support has fixed the issue! Yay!

I'm having the same issue. I have the latest version of firmware installed and about two days ago it started to give me the error message when attempting to preview doc files.
Can anyone solve this problem?

I'm now having the same error. I've had mine plugged in for months. Also the "Get Link" to view in a web page is now gone.

The links that I got previously to view in a web page still work. The get link now sends you to a page to download the file instead of viewing as a web page.

Does anybody know where the link went?
