I disconnected my usb maxtor 1 touch without ejecting first

pogo now says drive not compatible

when drive is connected to usb port on pc - win exployer shows a drive icon but cannot read

i tried testdisk 6.12 -- under file utils I get this error messsage "can't open file system"

anyone know how to get win xp to read drive ?
