I have the pogo drive installed on a remote XP computer. When the computer starts I can use the pogo drive application just fine. However, I leave this computer on 24x7, and after an undetermined amount of time passes I can no longer access my pogo shares. If I use mypogo.com, I can still access them. This computer does not sleep/hibernate. S

The same has happened to a friend of mine (Win 7 x64) who I am sharing a folder with.

Any ideas what is causing this and how to correct it?

Sounds like it could be the dokan software that we use becoming unresponsive- the easiest way is to right click the Pogoplug icon in your systray and click "reload".

When you say undetermined amount of time, about how long are we talking about? 1 hr, 1 day, 1 week?

I'm not sure what the length of time is. I just tried connecting now and my computer has been on without a restart since Monday. When I try to copy a file to the folder I got an error saying I didn't have permission, or something like that. However, I am the owner of the pogoplug and when I log in I use the same username and pw.

So I then tried the "reload" using the systray icon. After doing that when I now click on the drive I get the error: "The drive or network connection that the shortcut etc ...... is unavailable. " However, if I use mypogoplug.com I can connect and copy files.

That could be the dokan software actually crashing then - that can require a restart to the computer. That is expected.

However, the fact that it's so unstable on your system is question that we should answer.

There is a log file called ppfs.log, which you can find here C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Pogoplug. I'd like to suggest that you zip that file up and email it to our support team (support@pogoplug.com) - they can look at it from there.

I'm having the same problem. What's the fix? I'm running the latest PogoPlug software.
