When I upload an image or video, whether from PC or from the iPhone, my file name is change to a date, time. Why pogoplug can not leave the file name AS IS?

Also, uploading more than one image at a time does not suceed on PC. The File explore just says "calculating...." forever. It happens on a fast or slow internet connection the same way.

I just want to use my hard drive as a hard drive, not a media server. If I want a media server, I would use something else on my PC (Orb, etc.) and not Pogoplug. I think that Pogoplug is caugtht up in the social networking fancy that is not usable for me. I want private network storage, otherwise, I just upload to some social network service for free and do not need Pogoplug

I am not quite satisfy with the way pogoplug work and I am trying to upload my images to Web picasa via email and use Qik to upload videos. These alternative work to my expectation.

I run Ubuntu on my home computer, does anyone know which package I can install to make my hard drive accessible like the pogoplug does? I have dynamic IP hostname service.
