I have a Pogo plug at home, it's working fine.  I would like to purchase another Pogo and install it at my fathers house to use as a remote backup.  I want to control it from my existing location and pogo account.  Can I do this?

When my dad installs the pogo at his house (he's a few states away), how do I "add" it to my existing pogo account.

Should I installe it at my house first and setup and configure it before I send it to my dad?

Thx.

I only have one Pogoplug but my understanding is that as long as it is setup with your same username and password then it won't matter where the box is physically located or setup. All Pogoplug drives will show up on both devices since they are setup with the same account information.

Anyone out there already done this and can confirm, deny or clarify my understanding?

My brother and I have this sort of setup.
We each have a PPlug. We each got a Samsung S2 and backed up our computers then we swapped the drives during the holidays. We each also bought an additional drive for our local PPlug. So I have a drive at his house and mine -- He has a drive at my house and his.

We have one account that is registered for both PPlugs. When we log on all four drives mount. We each registered the PPlugs using our own accounts but the same password. Then he added my email address to his account and next time a logged in to the web interface it unified our accounts.

So yes -- it does what you think it is going to do.
