Just purchased Pogoplug and successfully set up on my network at home. I have an iMac and MacBook Pro, both running OS X 10.6.3. I can access a drive connected to the Pogoplug via the internet (safari) on both machines, and via the mac application on the iMac.

However, when I try to run the application on the MacBook Pro I get the error message Failed Starting Drive - Exit Code 0.

Can anyone throw any light on this problem?

Thanks

Ally.

This sounds like a technical issue - but I haven't seen it posted here anywhere yet. I would contact Pogoplug tech support right away and inform them of the issue so they can investigate it for you.

Tech support suggested uninstalling and then reinstalling MacFuse. This worked first time. Very impressed with quality of advice and speed of reply.

Same problem. I installed PogoPlug on my MacMini Server running 10.6.4, and every time I launch the PogoPlug software, the error "Failed starting drive. Exit code 0" appears.

I didn't have MacFuse on my mac, but just installed the latest. Still no help.

Seems like PogoPlug is pink to disguise its techiness, which still bursts through with this error and the MacFuse recommendation.

I had this error after reinstalling OS X (and just assuming I could copy the Pogoplug application from my backup).

So I found this thread, first hit on Google, installed MacFuse and all was good.

Thanks!

I have got the same problem as was stated at the start. I can still access my pogoplug on my old macbook and online, via the internet, but not on my new imac.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the pogoplug software and the Macfuse, as recommended in earlier posts, but still no success.

Anyone got any other ideas of what could solve the problem?

Thanks

Hi David , thank you for posting .
are you saying you have the same problem with failed drive 0 and you have had tech support and none of the tech support has helped yet .?

Also you say , keep installing macfuse over again, that seems strange, why would it work eventually, please clarify ?

I am not getting any more replies from tech support. !! which is very strange. Ray at tech support has replied twice before, but then I have to wait for days for the next reply. Its not good, for me as I am with a media company with TV network clients that dont want to wait if I have technical issues. I am just trying out one pogoglug, before we buy them, but seams i'll recommend we stick to our FTP for now coz this support is not ready for prime time, IMHO.
Thank you for your reply.

I tried a lot of the above but finally just reformatted the drive in mac os extended -but did not choose journaled. So far all is working great, mounting, transfer, even the desktop app works, and surprising fast -locally.

Yep, I have had the same problem and have had support from Ray and was then passed to Christopher.  They replied quickly and explained how to fully remove programs using terminal lines.

Unfortunately as yet nothing has worked.  The last idea was to keep uninstalling and reinstalling MacFUSE.

I agree, not sure how it will suddenly work, but anything is possible with the software updates

I'm having the same problem with 10.6.5.

I've tried Macfuse 2.0.3, 2.1.5, and 2.1.7, all without luck. I'll try a non-journaled format next, but this is getting very frustrating.
