YESSSS,
i have been experimneting with this too, but with an iphone stanza app, which needs a catalogue
we "need" a way to just expose the drive (or a directory) as a caalogue, or give another type of access (all hands for webdav please...)
I'm a new PogoPlug owner and one of the main reasons I purchased it was to be able to use my Kindle to access my Library of ebooks in my own personal cloud.
If you aren't familar the Kindle has a basic web browser which can use Javascript. There is also ebook library management software calle Calibre. My goal is to be able to store my Calibre library on my PogoPlug (already set-up) and use the Kindle browser to download ebooks (those purchased from other sources and not hosted on the Amazon servers).
I have only been able to get as far as the sign-in page on "my.pogoplug.com" with the Kindle in basic browser mode (there is also an Advanced Mode but the PogoPlug website says it can't be used). After I enter my email address and password and click to sign-in nothing happens.
I had tried to create this same situation with DropBox but it requires the Calibre Library to be in placed in the Public folder and each book has a separate link. I have a small library of a couple hundred books (I know folks in the high hundreds and low throusands in their libraries) and it's just not realistic to have all those links.
I guess I'm asking that a more mobile firendly version of the PogoPlug site be available. As more and more ebook readers released with web surfing capabilities, it would be nice to take advantage of PogoPlugs capabilities.
BTW, Amazon does have a new app program for the Kindle, maybe PogoPlug could come up with a Kindle app. Here is a link if anyone is interested:

Thanks!
I am interested in the same thing. I just found out about the calibre portable version which allows you to run calibre executable from a usb drive. It works the same way on an external drive, I experimented last night with calibre portable on my USB External NAS. Which was required sadly after I corrupted my 18 gig library by having initially set up calibre multiple executable files on several computers which all pointed to my library on the NAS... it was happy for a while and after leaving my library open once when another system tried to access it..."poof" But I digress the portable version will work over the network, but I haven't bought a pogo yet so I am unclear if it will work over the cloud interface. I was hoping someone would try this and tell me the results. Also have you tried running calibre as a content server? It has built in capability to do so, and works well within the network, configuring the WAN access and security is another reason why the pogo plug was a happy thought... if it works!
