Got a pogoplug, added a 320GB drive , ejected it using the web app , now it doesn't get recognised by my Mac any more, any ideas why it should fail? Owner for one day!

I have exactly the same problem. When I connect my 1TB drive with my macbook pro 2,4 ghz intel core2 duo (OS X 10.6.3) via firewire while it is still connected to the pogoplug, the mac doesn't recognize the drive at all. In the system profiler it says "unknown device".
When I unplugg the drive from the pogoplug and plug it into my mac afterwards, it's still not recognized! I had to mess around several times (turn on - turn off) until it was recognized again!

In other words you say: Never plug a disk to your pogoplug and to your computer at the same time! Didn't know that! Can you please tell me how to move the drive from the pogoplug to the computer. Shall I simply turn the drive off, unplug it from the pogoplug, plug it to the computer and turn it on. Must the pogoplug be switched off before I unplug the connected drive?

A lot of questions, sorry,

Ok Bidmead, thought I had left enough info but you may be right it was a little lite!

Firstly my problem is fixed.

My problem was I had a Mac formatted drive and unbeknown to me we had a power cut while I was away working, which effectively removed my hard drive in an unsafe manner.

Popoplug then only allow read access to the drive and when this drive was plugged into a Mac it was not immediately recognised as being present without using the utilities to effectively check the disk and verify it first.

Once this was done, all was well again.

Thanks for your time and comments.
