'nutha noob question for ya:

If I want to make, for example, a craigslist ad, is it possible to host the images on the pogo?

If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0

What I mean is, can the pogo generate one of those long URL strings that points to a single image on one of my drives?
Is that possible?

Basiclly no.

It would require you to share a whole folder via RSS and then use a link to that file like this.

Thanks a ton for the reply there BC. I hope that a future version of the Pogo OS can support a function like I described, as it would amazingly useful, but in the meantime, I'll try to do what you just did..

Update: success - works very well indeed. Now I can post to ebay, forums, craigslist etc.! Another win for pogoplug!

Update: realized the filename and extension (e.g. whatever.JPG) are not needed at the end of the URL.

Update: make sure the file you are sharing is not in a folder filled with files you do not wish to share. Truncating the URL gives easy access to the entire folder.

Saw the thread. It would be kinda cool if there were an easier way to link to a video for website use.

It can be done via RSS but you have to jump through a couple of hoops.

Click on the picture below for example.
