I am looking to run hellanzb on my Dockstar, but I can't figure out why pacman isn't finding it in the repositories. I am kind of a Linux n00b, but I have done a bit of ubuntu/red hat/fedora before in my local LUG. I just would really like to be able to run a newsreader on my awesome little dockstar.

 Thanks!

It's not finding it in the repos because it isn't there. hellanzb is not in the standard Archlinux repositories (Plugapps) or ipkg (openpogo).

Head over to plugapps and put in a package request.

Well I compiled it myself and have it running. Is there a way that I can put them on the repo somehow? I would be glad to make a tutorial for the wiki.

Man, it would be great if you can post a walkthrough, or package build. I was just looking how to add a newsreader to my dockstar. Looks like you could add the pkgbuild in the 'user submitted' builds! http://plugapps.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=4

Well I have it running and everything, but the problem is that I can't get the damn browser interface installed. I keep running into package dependencies that aren't on the repository. When I finally get it all ready, I'll submit it.

ctjameson- Thanks for working on this. I doubt I could help (as I have limited linux experience), but if I can help, don't hesitate to ask.

One thing I noticed (if you're using sabnzbd) is you need to make sure winrar is installed. I'm sure theres an option to disable 'auto-extract', but just throwing it out there...

Just an FYI- I was able to successfully compile sabnzbd for plugapps. Thanks for the help though!

I noticed swap space is required (I dedicated 1GB to it FWIW) if you're doing anything other than just downloading (par check, unpack, etc). Maybe the files will be uploaded to the plugapps repo soon (I emailed them to Admin)
