Sure thing - the top of My Libary is there to make it easy to see all of your media together (all movies, all music, etc). If, like me, you organized all your music by directories, you can simply go to the drive itself - it's listed below "Active Copy"; click there, and all your folders will be there, just like they appear when your drive is plugged into your computer.

When I go to "My Library" and look at Movies, they are not in folders like they are on my hard drive. They are all just listed together, which means that if I have separated tv shows from movies or put them into any category in different folders, I can not utilize that. It's the same on my iphone with My Music. Each of the artists have their own folder and there are separate folders for each of the albums inside of that, but all of the songs from all of the albums just show up and not separated.
Am I doing something wrong here or is this just an issue that hopefully will be sorted out in a future update?
Thanks Jon. Another quick question for you if I may. Right now I'm transcoding all of my videos (Trying to get them optimized mostly for streaming to my iphone when it's using 3G). I see the videos being transcoded under "Media Settings" right now but I don't see where pogoplug is actually putting the transcoded videos. How is it doing this? Does pogoplug take the video, process it and then put it in another folder? For example, if it is processing an AVI file (which I'm sure would stream very badly because of its size), wouldn't it have to turn it into an mp4 and rename it? Or does it just replace the AVI file with the processed one?
(So basically if it does indeed do that, will all of my videos on the pogoplug drive be converted?)
The Pogoplug creates a "web-friendly" (low res, no need to seek around the file to play) h.264 encoded version of your file, which it puts into the cedata directory that gets created on your drive. We don't actually touch the original file; that will remain intact.
So - if you have your Media Settings set to Auto-transcode full, we'll make a transcoded version of your video for you that will play on your iPhone. Hope that helps!
I got it. But as of now, I do not see a cedata directory on the pogoplug drive. Will it create an additional folder with these transcoded videos inside?
And after it's done transcoding these files, I'm not quite sure where I will find "web friendly" version on my iphone. Will I go to "Movies" or click on my pogoplug external USB drive and navigate through the folders or will they show up somewhere else?
And thanks for your help Jon!
I have the same problem as you, but not only in the web interface, it's even worse when I'm looking at my videos from my ps3. All my videos show up one after the others while they are all very well classified. Very unpracticall when you have numerous seasons of different shows, including 25Gb of XFiles and you wan't to watch say, season 6 episode 19. You have to scroll down all the way to X through all the other videos... would be nice to be able to browse through my pictures and videos using the folder classification that's already present on the drive.
It's also helpful when you have hidden some X pictures or videos in a separate folder, for them NOT to show up among all the other pictures and videos.
What can I (or you) do to fix this it's very annoying.
I run into the same problem here - it's on the product backlog to be added to a feature update to the streaming capabilities, but we don't have any near term plans for development or release.
I'll leave the comments below, since I still have some issues with the way it allows editing, but for the most part, I've found what I need.
This may sound stupid, but one basic question; where can I access my transcoded videos? They go through the process and "poof" I don't see them in "Movies" anymore. If you say there are in some "cedata" directory, why is that not visible in the web gui? I'm truly not impressed with the gui at all. It's not very configurable and not intuitive. I'm my opinion anyway. I should be able to easily locate, rename, and organize information and this product just doesn't allow you to do that. If it does, there needs to be more documentation for it. Ooh, I don't intend to SSH into the machine to do my work, it should be in the web gui.
Again, if I'm missing something, please point me in the right direction. I want to get more out of this thing than I'm getting now.

If you connect your hard drive to your windows PC you can see this directory and browse it's contents..... but this doesn't seem helpful!
Remember, its not what life does to you, but what you do with what life does to you, that matters.
I appreciate the response, but if I transcode the file so I can "share" it, why is it in a hidden directory? Is that not why we're supposed to transcode the videos? I can't browse them in my windows directory when when i'm 4000 miles away and trying to access the file. Ooh well....
