I have several video files on my PogoPlug, but nothing is showing up under Movies in My Library. Music and Photos appear fine. Is there a trick to getting PogoPlug to discover the Movies?

There isn't a "trick" that I know of... what format are the files? Do you have the unit set to transcode them? I'm not sure if that would impact discovery of the files, but it might help everybody figure out what might be going on. I haven't had any issues with Pogoplug discovering .MP4 files, which is usually what I use.

They are all .mp4 or .wmv files. I have transcoded a few of them, but they still never show up under Movies. They were already on my PogoPlug before the firmware updated. Also, I have rebooted both the PogoPlug and the hard drive since the update.

Jimmy, if you safely eject your hard drive and attach it to your computer, you can delete a hidden folder called ".cedata". This will erase all Pogoplug meta data and when you re-attach the drive to your Pogoplug, Pogoplug will automatically re-build it. However, please be aware that this will cause Pogoplug to generate photo thumbnails and transcode your movies (if your media settings are set to transcode), so it can take some time.

That did the trick. Thanks.

I'm having the same problem and it has happened over and over again. Is anything being done to fix this issue? I'm getting tired of having to delete my .cedata folder.
